How to export your Shopify store
Your store data exports by CSV, one area at a time. Your design is a different story.
The short answer
Each area of the admin has its own Export button, and larger exports are emailed to you. Shopify keeps no single button for the whole store. Shopify lists the exports here.
What to export, and where

Products
Products, then Export. Choose the scope and the CSV type.

Customers
Customers, then Export. The file is limited to 15 MB, and more than 50 customers is emailed.

Orders
Orders, then Export. More than 50 orders is emailed, and large exports can take hours.

Discounts
Discounts, then Export. Shopify says these cannot be imported back by CSV.

Inventory
Products, then Inventory, then Export. Choose the location and states.

Your theme
Online Store, then the actions menu on the theme, then Download theme file. A .zip goes to your email.
What does not come with you
The gift card export shows only the last 4 characters of each code, so it cannot recreate cards. See Shopify on gift cards. Blog posts and pages have no CSV route: Shopify says to copy and paste them, and menus are rebuilt by hand. Saved custom reports and traffic data do not transfer.
The theme download leaves out products, collections, menus, pages, blog posts, images and files. Liquid itself is open source, but Shopify says the version used in themes adds tags, filters and objects specific to Shopify stores. So treat a theme as a design reference, and check its licence before reusing any of it.
Before you cancel anything
Redirects are under Content, Menus, then View URL Redirects, and only a broken URL can redirect, so the old page has to be gone first. See the Shopify steps. A domain managed by Shopify transfers from Settings, Domains, and can take up to 7 days. See the transfer steps.
Our advice, on any platform: keep the old site live until the new one is tested, and put the page redirects on the new host. A redirect set on the old platform only runs while your domain still points there.
