Wix alternatives for small businesses
Wix says a site has to run on its servers, so leaving means recreating your site somewhere else. Here is what you can take and what your options are.
What you can take from Wix
Wix says the content you create belongs to you, and that the site itself cannot be hosted anywhere else. Read Wix on this.

Can I move my Wix site to another host?
No. Wix says the site has to run on its servers because of how its platform is built. The site has to be recreated somewhere else.
What about going headless with Wix?
That moves only the front of the site. Wix says your data and business logic stay in your Wix project and your Premium plan is still needed, so it does not take you off Wix.
Can I keep my domain?
Yes. A domain bought through Wix can be transferred away, and it usually takes up to 7 days. A domain bought elsewhere stays where it is and gets pointed at the new site.
